January 18 saw Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) host the 2018 work summary and 2019 work plan for the SUSTech trade union. SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson and Chairman of the Trade Union Li Fengliang made a speech.

SUSTech Trade Union Vice Chairman Zhang Yang, summarized the Trade Union’s work in 2018.

Li Fengliang affirmed the achievements of the trade union in 2018. He pointed out that the Trade Union was an important platform to exercise democratic rights and promote the democratic management of SUSTech. The Trade Union also safeguards the vital interests of SUSTech’s faculty and staff, while mobilizing their enthusiasm thus enhancing the cohesiveness for the development of SUSTech.

Li Fengliang hoped that the Trade Union would work in the coming year. He hoped that the Trade Union would serve SUSTech’s overall interests and further unite everyone to contribute to SUSTech’s long-term development. He also anticipated that the Trade Union would become more creative in their work and carry out colorful campus activities. Li Fengliang looked forward to the consolidation of the base and improves its system in order to make the Trade Union more “down to earth” and serve the people.

The meeting also commended 126 outstanding cadres and activists who had outstanding performance within the Trade Union in 2018.
