On November 21, 2015, School of Environmental Science and Engineering Annual Meeting was held, aiming to summarize work progress and set goals for the next period. The topics covered research, education, industrial application and global engagement. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Zheng Chunmiao, the dean.

Prof. Zheng made a keynote speech, reviewing the processes and mission and vision of the school. Remarkable progress has been made in the field of faculty building, scientific research project application and global engagement. 

Relying on the dynamic academic team with excellent professional skills, the school is now actively planning for applying for projects of Shenzhen research center platform, shenzhen talent group and NSFC Innovation team. 

In October, Shenzhen Key Laboratory for Soil and Groundwater Pollution Control(Preparatory) was appoved, which is the fifth key laboratory of SUSTC.

Other topics of discussion had included admission affairs, traning schemes and talent issues.
