Accompanied by Secretary Ming Li and Deputy Director Wei Han, Secretary Wei Tang, President Qingyun Tu and the delegation are visiting the construction planning sand table of the university.

On June 19, 2015, BNUZ Party Secretary Wei Tang and the President Qingyun Tu led the principals of the Administrative Department and 13 departments to visit our university. During the visit, Party Secretary Ming Li, President Shiyi Chen, Deputy Director of Preparatory Office Wei Han and representatives of relevant departments held the discussion with the visitors.

Firstly, on behalf of SUSTC, Ming Li extended a warm welcome to the visit of Secretary Wei Tang, President Qingyun Tu and the delegation. He said that BNU is a famous normal university, and due to the high starting point of school-running, BNUZ has formed its own features and advantages in over ten years of cultivation. And therefore, it has always been the example that SUSTC is trying to learn from. He wished that the two universities can fully make use of the geographical advantages, reinforce exchange visits and cooperation, and then jointly promote innovation development.

Shiyi Chen introduced the conditions of SUSTC to the visitors from the school-running orientation, the current discipline construction, talent team building, student cultivation, scientific research and other aspects.

Wei Han introduced the governance model of the university, the system construction and other conditions in detail.

Wei Tang expressed thanks to the warm reception of the university. He expressed that, as an innovative university that enjoys national attention, SUSTC has made successful exploration towards the board governance, professors’ academic management, and talent cultivation, and he was very happy to have the opportunity to visit our university.

Qingyun Tu expressed that BNU adopts new modes in its administrative framework and organization, which can share a great deal of similarities with SUSTC, and therefore both parties can further reinforce the communication.

Both parties had also had deep discussion on the construction of a modern university system, the cultivation of innovative talents, etc.
