On January 10, 2016, 24 “Thousand Talents program”experts visited SUSTC. Previously, the experts participated in the 2nd Member Congress of the 2nd Association of Thousand Talents Program, opened on Jan. 9. University leaders  and “Thousand Talents program”experts from SUSTC warmly received the visitors and President Chen Shiyi held a meeting with them.

At the meeting, President Chen Shiyi reported on SUSTC’s orientation, talent introduction, faculty, enrollment and second-phase planning.  SUSTC will keep building first-class disciplinary teams, train talents up to world standards, and develop cutting-edge disciplinary fields, thus forming its features and advantages among global universities.He thanked the experts for their long-term attention and support to SUSTC.  ” SUSTC is continue to target top universities and accelerate development to become a top tier research university, to become the South Centre of China’s teaching and scientific research center,” he added.

” It is my pleasure to visit SUSTC,” Wang said during the meeting.  He also stated that the “Thousand Talents program”is for global experts’ ambition of returning to serve the country.
