Naomi Climer, President of IET, Interprets Internet of Things at Shuren Forum

On April 14, Shuren Forum,the lecture series, was held at SUSTech. A lecture,with the topic of “Internet of Things”, was given by Naomi Climer, President of IET,who was invited by Prof. Chen Yifan, Chair of the EEE,as the distinguished guest speaker of the forum. 

Naomi first introduced the history and future development of the network engineering, which has become a blessing in this modern age for people. Naomi believed that  network engineering has high application potential, which can manage to power millions of computers to accomplish a given task. The network engineering could also implement the multi-person doing experiments together and realize the remote face-to-face communications. Naomi also specifically illustrated the future development of 5G around the world and in China. 

During the Q&A session, many students raised questions to Ms.Naomi.

In the end, Ms. Naomi was appointed as the tutor of Shuren College, whose letter of appointment was issued by Prof. Chen Yifan.
