First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech holds work conference

Last week, the First Affiliated Hospital of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) updated the university leadership about the progress of its construction and development.

SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, President Chen Shiyi, University Council vice Chairperson Li Fengliang and Vice President Lu Chun represented SUSTech, while First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech Dean Qiu Chen and Party Secretary Xu Yong represented the hospital.

Chairperson Guo Yurong affirmed that the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech would give strong support to the development of the School of Medicine at SUSTech. She hoped that both the School of Medicine and the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech would have more comprehensive and in-depth integrative developments in the future.

President Chen Shiyi said that SUSTech would promote the work plan for the construction of the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech. It would accelerate the integrated development in areas such as education planning, forming a teaching team, and investing in scientific research.

Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang said that the meeting would help with the overall integration and development of SUSTech. Both parties should work together in the future to build SUSTech and its affiliated hospital.

Dean Qiu Chen said that the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech would substantially promote deep exchange and integration, following international first-class university-affiliated hospital standards.

Party Secretary Xu Yong said that this is a necessary time for the transformation of the First Affiliated Hospital of SUSTech. Both parties should work together to establish a platform for communications throughout the development process.
