With many students looking at employment opportunities in the future, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) hosted its 2019 Spring Campus Job Fair. The Employment Guidance Center under the Office of Student Affairs worked with 40 high-quality employers, who provided over one thousand job opportunities for students to consider. Students from SUSTech and surrounding universities flocked to participate in the job fair.
A wide range of industries took part in the job fair, including information technology, software, scientific research, finance, education, and manufacturing. The firms were offering full time and internships to the graduating students.
Most of the students in attendance were junior students looking at internships and pre-graduate students looking for full-time positions. One student commented that the job fair was an excellent opportunity to contact many companies at the same time.
The Campus Job Fair also had two booths for Shenzhen’s talent introduction policies, and to guide students through the process of creating a high-quality resume. Both of these sections were busy throughout the day, as many students wanted assistance with their future employment. Staff responsible for providing curriculum vitae assistance were in particularly high demand, as students appreciate the importance of this document as part of showing their academic, personal and leadership skills.
The Employment Guidance Center has always sought to create a job search platform for SUSTech students and will continue to serve our students in the future.
