The symposium, Mechanics, Education and Research Universities: Perspectives for the 21st Century, was held at at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS) on May 12, 2016. Prof. Chen Shiyi, SUSTech’s president, Prof. Lu Chun, Chief Operating Officer, and over 40 world’s leading experts in related fields, attended the activity.
The symposium, organized by Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University，focused on some of the larger issues concerning mechanics and engineering education and research in the global environment. President Chen also made a keynote speech at the Symposium.
