From August 17 to 21, Summer Training and Seminars for Coaches of Guangdong Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, hosted by Guangdong Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Organizing Committee of Guangdong Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling and undertaken by Department of Mathematics of SUSTech, was held in SUSTech where senior mathematical modeling experts from different provinces made special reports and exchanged their academic ideas on mathematical contests in modeling of recent years.

During the meeting, experts made wonderful reports one after another on “The Mathematical Modeling and Talent Training Mode at the Age of Internet Plus”, “Comments on Question A of 2015: Positioning Based on the Sun’s Shadow”, “The Explorations and Practices of Mathematical Modeling in SUSTech”, “Primary Study on Training of Data Science Personnel in the Age of Big Data”, ect. Participants intensively discussed the case studies, analog computations, data analysis, writing skills and other aspects related to mathematical modeling.
