In the earliest days of the 2019-20 academic year commenced at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), nearly one hundred student-run clubs took part in the annual Student Club Open Day.
The lakeside dormitories were bustling with activity, with sports clubs jostling for new members with academic clubs, dance clubs showing off next to traditional Chinese cultural associations, and other clubs displaying well-funded operations.
Every student club took the opportunity to demonstrate their unique features, with colorful posters, exquisite gifts for new members, and delightful shows to attract people to their area.
Thousands of students wandered through the lakeside residential colleges, checking out the different offerings. There are currently 102 various clubs available for students to get involved in, across different fields, including cultural, academic, technological, innovative, entrepreneurial, sports and voluntary clubs. All these student clubs provide opportunities for students to express themselves in different ways.
