Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Dean Andrew Moore visits SUSTech

Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science Dean Andrew Moore and his entourage recently came to visit SUSTech. President Chen Shiyi welcomed the guests and accompanied them on a tour of the facilities.

The delegation visited the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Professor Yao Xin – Chair professor of the department – introduced the faculty, research programs and teaching status, undergraduate and postgraduate training and so on to the visitors.

Both parties discussed future cooperation between doctoral students, the possibility of exchanges of undergraduates and visiting scholars and many more key areas where they would like to build closer links. The two sides underlined their hope to strengthen their understanding and exchange and establish a close cooperation.

Professor Moore was accompanied by various key faculty members, including Dr. Philip Lehman, Associate Dean of the School of Computer Science and Mimi Fairman, Director of International Development.
