Earlier this week, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its 2019 Scholarship Review Meeting. SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang and Student Affairs Director Xue Zheng joined other jury members on the SUSTech Student Financial Aid Jury Committee Members (Jury).

The Jury was assembled to review and approve various national scholarships, of which 12 SUSTech students had been nominated. Each student made specific presentations for their scholarships, giving vivid responses to questions asked of them and reflecting on the rich practical experience they had gained while at SUSTech.

Ultimately, eight candidates across all six residential colleges were successful in their applications. SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang congratulated the scholarship recipients, saying that they should continue upholding the spirit of SUSTech and make persistent efforts in creating new achievements.

SUSTech operates an open and transparent scholarship selection process, with students given plenty of opportunities to apply for different scholarships with different criteria. In this semester, 1486 SUSTech students will receive scholarships totalling 4.67 million yuan.
