On November 29, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) invited South China University of Technology (SCUT) Professor and State Key Laboratory of Luminescent Materials and Devices Director Ma Yuguang to give a special lecture. He gave the 5th lecture in the MSE Lecture Series, providing an insightful speech on the research progress on next-generation OLED materials.
Professor Ma Yuguang is a renowned expert in organic optoelectronic functional materials and devices in China. He has conducted internationally recognized research on electroluminescent materials and mechanisms.
As part of his address, he went through the progress of his research group, discussing the efforts of improving the performance of fluorescent molecules and the energy loss of excitons. These efforts are aimed at working towards cheaper and more efficient OLEDs.
The attending faculty members and students asked many questions at the end of his lecture. Professor Ma Yuguang encouraged the students to conduct innovative independent research as they work to become real scientists.
