Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) continues to monitor the evolving novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) situation in mainland China and around the world. SUSTech has prioritized the well-being of everyone at SUSTech while minimizing disruption to our students’ education. There are many teams across SUSTech working hard to maintain the health and safety across campus while planning for the future. The Working Group, led by Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and President Chen Shiyi, meet regularly to consider new developments that impact the SUSTech community and its operations.
The University Catering Services Center has been working tirelessly to support the SUSTech community during this challenging period. They have maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout all the restaurants by regularly disinfecting the food preparation areas, and strengthening the health management of all its staff while sustaining its food security policies. The SUSTech community has also supported the changes by collecting their meals in lunchboxes and wearing masks when entering campus outlets.
The Campus Services Office has been unceasing in its efforts to train staff in the relevant measures to control and eliminate 2019-nCoV. They have also organized sufficient equipment for every unit and department to maintain clean working spaces. There are many teams across SUSTech working hard to maintain the health and safety across campus while planning for the future.
SUSTech remains focused on the health and well-being of its entire community as it works hand in glove with the rest of the world in the battle against 2019-nCoV.
