Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) continues to monitor the evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in mainland China and around the world. SUSTech has prioritized the well-being of everyone at SUSTech while minimizing disruption to our students’ education.

There are many teams across SUSTech working hard to maintain the health and safety across campus while planning for the future. The Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office has worked hard with many units to ensure that there is sufficient staff on duty to manage the operations of SUSTech.

So far, the Office has played a key role in communicating with faculty members, staff, and students to protect the community, while adhering to national, provincial, and municipal health regulations. There have been consistent high-impact communications through numerous social media channels. All units across SUSTech have worked hand-in-glove with the Office to be responsible for the safety of their staff, students, and faculty members during this challenging period.

Prevention and control programs have been promoted to provide faculty, staff, and students with the relevant information ahead of their eventual return to campus. There has been intensive investigations and maintenance of vital infrastructure to maintain the safety of everyone at SUSTech, with the Office recommending many upgrades across campus to support the ongoing protection of the SUSTech community.
