With Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcoming its senior students back this week, Vice President Chun LU and Secretary-General Siqi CHEN oversaw preparations for the Class of 2020, among the on-going prevention and control work for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Vice President Chun LU highlighted providing a safe environment for students, so each department must continue to implement their preparations while having appropriate back-up and emergency plans.

Three different scenarios were tested as part of the exercise, including students entering campus, taking the campus bus, and undergoing a nucleic acid test. Each exercise took the opportunity to test their emergency protocols.

Secretary-General Siqi CHEN asked the relevant departments to optimize the plans ahead of the students returning to campus next week.
