On June 19, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed a delegation from the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau. Director Jie HE led the delegation, who met with SUSTech University Council Chairperson Yurong GUO and Planning & Development Director Susheng WANG.

SUSTech University Council Chairperson Yurong GUO welcomed the delegation. She provided a briefing on the direction of SUSTech, discussing its future development goals and current achievements. SUSTech is actively exploring talent pipelines as it builds a world-class research university, rooted in China. She hoped that more financial institutions would work with SUSTech to continue mutual development.

Director Jie HE discussed the functions and responsibilities of the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau, as well as the contribution that the financial industry makes to Shenzhen’s development. He hoped that SUSTech would continue to cooperate with the Bureau and other leaders in the financial industry in fields such as fintech and sustainable finance.

Planning & Development Director Susheng WANG spoke about the development of the financial disciplines at SUSTech. It would continue to participate in high-impact research into financial supervision and innovation that contributes to the financial development of Shenzhen.
