On the evening of December 6, 2020, faculty, students and artists gathered at the newly- established Concert Hall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). The concert was warmly welcomed. SUSTech’s resident artist Haochen ZHANG, joined hands with the famous conductor Tao FAN to present a special musical performance. Yurong GUO, SUSTech University Council Chairperson, and Fengliang LI, University Council Vice Chairperson attended the event.
The concert was split into two segments, incorporating both Chinese and Western elements. The performance had all listeners in awe and immersed from start to finish.
To improve the artistic desire and all-round growth of teachers and students, SUSTech has invited famous artists to perform on campus. Haochen ZHANG is the first resident artist in SUSTech and he has brought a variety of excellent lectures and concerts to the University since January 2019. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the pianist expressed his hope that the University would have another brilliant decade.
