Dumplings are traditional Chinese food, symbolizing reunion and happiness. On the morning of February 10, 2021, The Spring Festival dumpling-making activity was held in SUSTech. More than 100 faculty, staff, and their families gathered together to welcome the new year.

Sufficient dumpling wrappers, filings, and seasonings were prepared. Dumplings of various types were made and then boiled.

Traditional activities such as pasting lanterns, weaving Chinese knots, and performances such as fast mask-changing and shadow play were presented, which created a festive atmosphere.

This year, many faculty members and their families stayed on the campus for the Spring Festival, responding to the calls from the Shenzhen government to not travel due to the current epidemic containment unless it was essential. From such gathering, they could also feel the warmth and love from the University.
