On the morning of February 15, the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, Yurong GUO, University Council Chairperson of the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), led a team of University delegates and relevant department members to praise the front-line general affairs and security staff on duty during the Spring Festival holiday.

Yurong GUO and her team visited the central control room where they were guided by security members of SUSTech and learned about the University’s campus safety system and their emergency response preparation. Later, Chairperson GUO and other delegates visited the school’s main entrance gate to check the security staffing, prevention and control measures, and inspections of passing personnel and vehicles. She emphasized the requirement of various security measures during the winter vacation.

During the Spring Festival vacation, SUSTech faculty members and students actively adhered to the government’s request of not travelling for the holidays unless it was necessary. As a result, the number of people remaining on campus reached a record high. In doing so, various departments within the University organized a series of activities to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone who stayed on campus. At the same time, the security officers and other staff on duty have continued to be vigilant throughout the holiday period and ensure the safety of everyone.
