Recently, the Office of Students Affairs at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its annual Regional Culture Fair on campus. The event consisted of an assortment of different activities from 19 provinces and regions around China.
The students arranged teams based on something unique from their hometown or region. This was then displayed through various activities on campus. It included the sampling of foods and drinks such as tea tasting, live performances such as dancing, musical recitals and acting, and participating in interactive games. It created a jubilant atmosphere for everyone to indulge in and get a taste of the various cultures on display.
This annual event has developed into one of SUSTech’s largest as many of the students want to showcase the uniqueness of their homeland and share it with others. It creates a special atmosphere on campus where students can re-count something distinctive to their upbringing and share their culture with others.
