On September 15, 2021, Rujun TANG, Deputy Mayor of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Fengliang LI, University Council Chairperson, welcomed the guests.

At the meeting, Siqi CHEN, Director of the Office of Party Affairs and Administration, spoke briefly about the history of SUSTech and its day-to-day running.

Zuotai ZHANG, Director of the Technology Transfer Center (TTC), introduced the University’s technology transfer system.

In his remarks, Chairperson Fengliang LI said that SUSTech is striving to become a world-class research university. He hopes that both parties can cooperate in the future and that the people of Yancheng City can take advantage of SUSTech’s expertise in scientific and technological innovation.

Rujun TANG familiarized guests in attendance with the current state of affairs in Yancheng City. He acknowledged the rapid growth and development of SUSTech in the past decade.

He hopes to cooperate with SUSTech in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, technology transfer, new energy, and electronic information. Through this relationship, he aims to improve the development of Yancheng through highly educated innovative talents.

After the meeting, Rujun TANG and his delegation visited the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements, Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center, and Shuren College.
