The students in our school have won prizes in the thirteenth “Challenge Cup” Guangdong college students’ extracurricular academic science and technology work

From May 23, 2015 to 25, the provincial Party committee, provincial education department, provincial science and Technology Department, the Provincial Association for science and technology, the Provincial Federation jointly organized the thirteenth “Challenge Cup” contest in Guangdong of college student extracurricular academic science and technology work in South China Normal University. Review by the competition assessment expert group, and approved by the Organizing Committee, the project of Gong Zheng and Tang Kailuan called Wireless Flash Disk– resonant power supply expansion board wireless U disk has won the third prize of undergraduate group.
 

This work has been made under the guidance of assistant professor Jian Linni and Cui Dehu who work in department of electronics and electrical engineering. The original idea comes from charging the existing wireless U disk which always need to replace or charge battery frequently. When transporting protocol with Bluetooth or WiFi, transmission efficiency is not high. The wireless power supply mode is adopted without installing the battery, greatly reducing the weight and volume of products, also no waste of chemical battery, in line with the needs of environmental protection.
 

It is reported that the “Challenge Cup” contest is the only college student comprehensive competition which contains Human society, natural science, scientific and technological inventions, innovation and scientific research, entrepreneurial practice, etc. And this contest has made great effort on promote the growth of young talents, deepen the quality education in Colleges and universities, and promote the development of economy and society and it is known as the “Olympics” event of contemporary university student for science and technology innovation.
