The International Handbook of the Learning Science, a book edited by Prof. Frank Fisher from the University of Munich, Prof. Cindy E. Hmelo-Silver from Indiana University, Prof. Susan R. Goldman from the University of Illinois, and Prof. Peter Reimann from the University of Sydney, is a comprehensive collection of international perspectives on this interdisciplinary field from more than 110 international scholars.

Prof. Jianhua ZHAO from the Center of Studies for Future Education at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and his colleagues from other universities, recently translated the handbook into Chinese, and it has now been officially published.

The book focuses on the past, current, and emerging theoretical directions for learning sciences research. It consists of a total of 51 chapters, divided into three sections.

The three sections of the handbook look at foundational contributions from multiple disciplines and how the learning sciences have fashioned these into their own brand of use-oriented theory, design, and evidence; approaches to designing, researching, and evaluating learning; and the methodology of learning sciences research, assessment, and analytic approaches.

The translation and publication of the International Handbook of the Learning Science provides a new international perspective and resources for Chinese researchers and practitioners in the field of learning science.
