A delegation from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST), which included Bin YANG, Secretary of the Party Committee of JXUST, and Herui WEN, President of JXUST, recently visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Fengliang LI, University Council Chairperson, and Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, welcomed the guests and held exchanges.

At the meeting, Chairperson Fengliang LI outlined the current state of affairs of SUSTech in terms of its innovative governance model, faculty, talent training, scientific research, party building, and culture building, and its development of becoming a “Double First-Class” university.

He noted that JXUST is a university with deep roots and a long history, and hopes that the two sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and collaborate in talent training, discipline construction, and scientific research.

Bin YANG acknowledged the rapid development of SUSTech. He said that SUSTech is at the forefront of the country’s higher education reform, and has explored a new path to create a world-class university since its establishment.

He added that both parties would further deepen cooperation and exchanges, and strengthen collaborations in scientific research, scientific research platforms, and talent team building to better serve the development of the region and the country.

During their visit, Bin YANG, Herui WEN, and their delegation were given a campus tour and visited the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements.
