On August 29, Beifang DAI, President of the Shenzhen Charity Federation, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, Ling ZHANG, University Council Vice-Chairperson, Qin YE, Member of the Presidential Executive Council, and other members of the University’s leadership team held discussions with the guests.

In his remarks, President Qikun XUE expressed his gratitude to the Shenzhen Charity Federation for its support and briefly introduced the current state of affairs of SUSTech.

He said that SUSTech, as a national “Double First-Class” university and a pilot university for comprehensive reform of higher education, shoulders the mission of leading the country’s higher education reform.

He hopes that the two sides can deepen exchanges and cooperation in the future, cultivate more top-notch innovative talents, and contribute to the development of the pilot demonstration zone.

Beifang DAI acknowledged the high-quality development of SUSTech and spoke about the development of the Shenzhen Charity Federation.

He noted that SUSTech has its own Shenzhen spirit of “daring to venture and try”, and its development in recent years has reflected the Shenzhen temperament of scientific and technological innovation, which is refreshing.

Beifang DAI added that in the future, he looks forward to cooperating with SUSTech in talent training and public welfare work.

Jun GENG, Director of the Department of Liaison and Development and Secretary-General of the Education Foundation at SUSTech, spoke about the development of the SUSTech Education Foundation.

Beifang DAI and his delegation were also given a campus tour, visiting the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements.
