The annual Students’ Association Open Day was recently held at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), with many student-run clubs, associations, and societies participating in the carnival of activities.

The event was held near the Lakeside Residential College on campus, which was hosted by the Youth League Committee of SUSTech and organized by the Students’ Union.

Intending to recruit new members, various student clubs and associations showcased their skills and talents, providing a platform for many students to participate in a variety of different activities and display their unique abilities.

This year, a total of 85 student clubs, associations, and societies participated in the annual event, with each one preparing a variety of interactive and display activities with great expectations of attracting new students to join.

Ruitao HAN, an undergraduate student from Zhixin College, said, “The students’ association open day is a new experience for me. The clubs and associations at SUSTech are very unique, and the on-site experiences are awesome. I’m happy to be able to find other students who have the same interests as me.”

The Electronic Music Club, Western Music Club, Zhicheng Singing Club, Crosstalk Club, and the NOVA Hip-Hop Club performed eye-catching displays on the day to the delight of the guests in attendance, demonstrating the confident and high-spirited attitudes of SUSTech students.

The University currently has 95 various clubs, associations, and societies, providing students with opportunities and a platform to express themselves further.
