SUSTech’s Changsheng YOU receives 2023 Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award

The Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) recently announced the list of recipients of the 2023 “Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award”.

Changsheng YOU, Assistant Professor of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), won the “Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Outstanding Youth Award”.

The “Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award” is named after Wu Wenjun, a pioneer and leader of intelligent scientific research in China and the recipient of the first National Supreme Science and Technology Award. It is known as the highest award in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Science and Technology in China.

The award acknowledges individuals and units with three to five years of scientific research experience who have made outstanding contributions in the field of intelligent science and technology. A total of 15 outstanding young researcher were honored with the award in 2023.

Changsheng YOU is an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of EEE. His main research interests include mobile edge computing and edge intelligence, intelligent reflecting surface, and near-field communications.

He has been selected for the 8th “Young Talent Promotion Project” of the China Association for Science and Technology in 2023. He has also been ranked among the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University and nominated on the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars list.

Changsheng YOU currently serves as an editorial board member of prestigious journals such as the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications and IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. He has published more than 60 academic papers in top international journals and conferences in the field of wireless communications, and has been granted two US patents.
