On the morning of September 10 2017, the “one-stop” Administrative Service Center of the Southern University of Science and Technology officially opened. University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong, President Chen Shiyi, as well as other leaders, academicians, faculties members, department heads and others attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Deputy-Director of the University Affairs Office Lu Qi.
Secretary General and Director of the University Affairs Office Wang Yongjie gave a speech at the opening ceremony, in which he said that the Administrative Service Center was going through a test run with the objective of providing a more efficient and quality service to the administration and supporting the development of the university into a world-class institute.
Guo Yurong and Chen Shiyi, faculty representative Professor Liu Qingsong, administration staff representative Zhang Yang as well as many staff members were present to witness the unveiling of the new center.
The SUSTech Administrative Service Center is divided into the online service hall and administrative service center hall, and will gradually grow to include an increasing number of services. Currently the existing hall is composed of the self-service area, the waiting area, the consultation desks, the business management area and the back-office, and assists university staff in a number of domains such as professional and personal administrative affairs. Other affairs include services for the human resources department, the financial department, the campus operation, the network information center and multiple others, covering 46 different areas.
The center has provided online guidelines on how to deal with matters related to consulting and business management, and can now offer to resolve a wide range of issues in one place.
