The seminar was jointly organized by the Office of Campus Development of SUSTech and the Office of Campus Operation. It aims to further strengthen and improve the planning and construction of the SUSTech campus to improve the experience of the students and staff, as well as reinforce the image and positionning of the university.

Scholars from universities, museums and institutes, like Professor Xia Zhujiu from the Southeast University, Xie Xiaofan, deputy curator of the China Art Museum, Zhu Rongyuan, deputy chief planner of China Urban Planning and Design Institute, and Professor Zhang Yingpeng of Southeast University shared their insight on the planning and construction topics.

“For students, memorable moments on campus often happen in those seemingly useless places, and while administrators might think they serve no function, these spaces are actually full of vitality and fascination for the students,” said Professor Zhang Yingpeng said. 

Other famous experts such as You Xudong, Bin Bin, He Jianxiang, Liu Yuyang, Zhang Dong, Rong Zhaohui, He Xun, Zhang Yajin and Dong Hao also participated in the discussions to provide feedback on the Phase II Campus Planning, architectural features, and landscape styles.
