The Shenzhen Rescue Volunteers Federation (SRVF) recently held its 10th anniversary celebration at Shenzhen Nanling Village Hall. During the celebration, the University Student Emergency Rescue Volunteers Union of Shenzhen Municipality (SSERVU) was officially launched by the following organizations: SRVF, China Democratic National Construction Association Shenzhen Committee, SUSTech, Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Polytechnic.

SSERVR was initiated by the SUSTech Emergency Rescue Team. The team worked closely with SRVF in SSERVU’s preparation stage, and will continue to get fully involved in SSERVU affairs on behalf of SUSTech. SSERVU aims to educate university students and the general public on emergency response procedures, emergency management techniques, and public safety. It will also spare no efforts in disaster prevention and mitigation.
