Shenzhen’s Kaisa Group held its first “Compass” career development program meeting at Southern University of Science and University (SUSTech).

The program was jointly launched by SUSTech Graduate School and Kaisa Group and is a professional mentor group project. Earlier this semester, Kaisa Group selected 19 trainers to provide four courses for the 20 students selected for the program. SUSTech’s guidance working with the practice in project management of the Kaisa Group has taught the students to form a clearer understanding of themselves and their careers.

During the first course, Kaisa Group’s Deputy Director of Business and Human Resources Huang Wei worked with Senior Planner of Research of Industrial Research Jiang Chaojun and Supervisor of Kaisa Group College Huang Chao came to SUSTech to share their experiences. Huang Chao led the students through a team-building exercise, which was followed by Huang Wei steering a resume and interview skills training session. Jiang Chaojun explained the concept of mind-mapping. Another 16 mentors from Kaisa Group will further lead the students to delve into their career development plans through another three courses.

This program seeks to deepen the cooperation between industry and university, to try and develop our talent pipeline. It aims to reduce the distance between students’ knowledge and the needs of businesses. The program wants to enhance the collaborative synergies between enterprises and higher education to promote the development of innovative talents.
