According to manager Wang, in July 2014, Qianhai WeBank was formally approved to build, because its own small capital, according to two eight theoretical principles, it is difficult to attract high-end customers in the “two”, however, the main source of profit not come from the so-called VIP customers, but the industry practitioners also have a consensus, ordinary small customers do not give full play, so WeBank aim to becoming a financial services platform, use of Internet tools to lower cost and service more customers.
Webank aims to let financial close to the people , the feature is deposit small loan, to science and technology data as the starting point, rely on traditional commercial banks. The combination of the Internet, to provide efficient and differentiated financial services. Future will use the Internet platform to carry out business, relying on the platform, cooperation with other financial institutions to carry out business. The bank’s risk control by the national bank risk control system, based on the introduction of Tencent in the field of Internet technology, use of big data and other technologies to control business risk.
