On November 25, 2015, SUSTC 2015 Freshmen Scholarship Award Presentation Ceremony was held at the Hall 111, library. Amid warm applauses, Vice President Wu Chuanyue and Deputy Director Han Wei presented the awards to 599 students.
At the ceremony, Ms. Han Weil announced the award list and encouraged the scholarship winners keep the persistent efforts in seeking the further success.
“The future of our students leads the future of SUSTC,” said Vice President Wu. While at the same time as Vice President Wu said congratulations, he spoke highly of the students’efforts, which they paid during the three-year high school study. He also hoped that the students will work hard and enjoy their college life.
Prof. Chen Lang, who is from physics department, gave a short speech in represetative of the faculty. He made several suggestions to the student on how to spend the life in college. ” Studying hard, geting active in the university activities and keeping on exercising are the suggestions that I am going to give you today.I hope all of you could hold on to your dreams.
Liu Sicheng, the freshmen representative, gave a speech to assert their firm believe on study, research and serving the country.
