April 26 was World Intellectual Property Day. SUSTech Technology Transfer Center and the SUSTech Audit and Legal Office held a week-long event around “Advocating Innovative Culture and Respecting Intellectual Property Rights,” to increase faculty members and students’ awareness of intellectual property protection.
There was an exhibition of intellectual property knowledge at the entrance of Lynn Library, which focused on industry-university-research cooperation and representative achievements of innovation and entrepreneurship at SUSTech, as well as methods of intellectual property right management.
On top of that, a lecture series took place between April 23 and 26. Xue Bing and He Wei from law firm Hankui lectured on “Analysis of Hot Law Topics in Intellectual Property, Cooperate Financing and Structural Design of Technological Enterprises,” while Yan Hong spoke about “IP Problems in Universities’ Transformation of Technological Achievements.”
On April 25, SUSTech Technology Transfer Center organized a training session on the management of intellectual property rights to inform SUSTech faculty members and students of industry-university-research cooperation policies and implementation procedures, including intellectual property application within SUSTech and the transformation of technological achievements.
