Last week, the Alumni Association of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held its annual meeting, in which the alumni liaisons and club leaders were appointed. SUSTech University Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang, acting as the Executive Vice President of the Alumni Association, attended the meeting.

Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang said that the development of the Alumni Association is fundamentally intertwined with the development of SUSTech, and reflects positively on SUSTech’s influence. He hoped that in the future, alumni liaisons would be an effective contact person to promote alumni activities throughout the world. His message to the alumni liaisons was to abide by their duties, promote the SUSTech spirit and let the Alumni Association know about new progress & achievements of alumni.

Alumni Association Deputy Secretary-General Geng Jun introduced the progress of the Alumni Association, along with the roles and responsibilities of the alumni liaison. In their speech as the 2019 alumni liaison representative, Zhu Jianghan said that he would live up to expectations to become a bridge between alumni and his alma mater, thereby contributing to SUSTech’s development.

The Alumni Association closed the meeting with a series of enjoyable activities. The event ensured that the 2019 alumni liaison got a deeper understanding of their duties, while promoting exchanges between alumni workers.
