On January 6, Qinghai Province Vice Governor Liu Tao led a delegation to Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). The Vice Governor was welcomed by SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and Vice President Zhang Dongxiao. Representatives from the Qinghai Provincial Government, Shenzhen Municipal Government, and Xining University Preparatory Office also attended the meeting.

Qinghai Province Vice Governor Liu Tao congratulated SUSTech on its achievements since its establishment. He said that SUSTech’s unique features are important for Qinghai Province to study as it prepares for the launch of Xining University in the coming years.

SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong welcomed Liu Tao to SUSTech and reflected on how it is striving to become a world-class research university, rooted in China. Vice President Zhang Dongxiao spoke about the different ways SUSTech is unique, including its innovative talent training models, scientific research achievements, and student recruitment methods.
