Online “Spring Sports Festival” to bring current and future SUSTech students together
Chris Edwards | 03/25/2020

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) has worked tirelessly to keep up the teaching and scientific research during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. It has also created a new way to keep everyone fit, healthy, and safe. The first-ever Online Spring Sports Festival will bring together our existing undergraduate and postgraduate student communities.

Senior high school students who have enrolled in SUSTech’s comprehensive admissions registration, as well as invited high school students, are all welcome to register for the Online Spring Sports Festival.

From March 25 to April 8, competitors are invited to take place in a series of athletic pursuits in the comfort of their own homes or safe exercise spaces. Events are individual, in pairs, or as part of a family, with videos to be uploaded to a secure online platform and assessed by SUSTech staff.

Some competitions are inspired by popular videos that have been circulating online. Other competitions are requirements from the Ministry of Education. There will be prizes for the top four teams overall in each category.
