On July 16, 2021, Fei LIAO, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Guizhou Province, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Qikun XUE, President of SUSTech, and Yusheng ZHAO, Acting Vice President and Dean of the SUSTech Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, welcomed the guests as they held in-depth discussions on various topics.

Fei LIAO gave a brief introduction on the development of science and technology in Guizhou Province. He hopes to strengthen cooperation with SUSTech in the areas of big data, carbon neutrality, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Qikun XUE said that SUSTech would strengthen scientific and technological cooperation with Guizhou Province and provide support for the scientific and technological development of Guizhou Province through a variety of forms.

Yusheng ZHAO spoke about the current state of affairs of research at SUSTech in new energy vehicles, clean energy, hydrogen energy storage, and clean coal.

After the meeting, Fei LIAO and his delegation visited the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, the Clean Energy Research Institute, and the Shenzhen Automotive Fuel Cell Stack Engineering Laboratory.

Haibo WANG, Director of the Guizhou Productivity Promotion Center, Yumei LUO, General Manager of the Technology Transfer Center Co., Ltd., and heads of relevant departments of SUSTech attended the event.
