On November 12, 2021, Michael Reed, Associate Vice President of Academic and International Affairs at Westlake University, visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to conduct international affairs and international undergraduate enrollment exchanges.

Chunmiao ZHENG, member of the Presidential Executive Council and Director of SUSTech Global, held discussions with the guests.

At the meeting, Chunmiao ZHENG spoke about the current state of affairs of SUSTech and its international cooperation. He noted that the University is committed to cultivating innovative talents with a global mindset and vision to make outstanding contributions to society.

In his remarks, Michael Reed spoke about the current position of Westlake University. As one of the institutions part of the new type of research universities in China, he said that Westlake University hopes to cooperate closely with SUSTech in areas such as international affairs, international recruitment, faculty exchanges, and training programs.

During their visit, Michael Reed and his delegation also visited the Center for Language Education (CLE).
