Seminar on Hearing science: From Hair Cell to Cortex held at SUSTC

From 16 to 17, Seminar  on Hearing science:From Hair Cell to Cortex, hosted by Center for Neuro and Cognitive Sciences of SUSTC and co-organized by Institute of Life Sciences of Southeast University, was held at SUSTC. The seminar invited the scholar from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and United States and representatives from medical technology companies from Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, discussing research frontier and hot topics in the field of hearing science. The seminar was chaired by Assocaite Prof. CHEN Fangyi.
In openning remarks, Prof. LU Chun, the Chief Operating Officer, introduced the running of the university and the future developing plan.
During the seminar,over 30 wonderful lectures were given by the experts, who are coming from universities, reseach centers and medical institutions from home and abroad, inculding SUSTC, Southeast University, Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Shandong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong University,  Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, Academia Sinica, Emory Univ School of Medicine, Third Military Medical University, The Fourth Military Medical University and  Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital.

Experts are sharing and exchange experiences and opinions.
Seminar Scene
The seminar took the form of presenting special reports and having interactive workshops to discuss the topics on genetics, physiology, engineering science and other topics in realted to the hearing science. By expanding the scope of  influence of Center for Neuro and Cognitive Sciences of SUSTC, this seminar is also a high-level platform  for hearing science, on which various experts and institutions share their wisdom,exchange their information, and integrate their resources.
