Last week, Secretary Liu Jin and President Sun Yong from the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) led a delegation to Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). SUSTech University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong welcomed the SZIIT deputation, along with other senior SUSTech leaders.

Chairperson Guo Yurong briefed the SZIIT about SUSTech, concentrating on its social influence, development of its academic disciplines and the faculty. She hoped that both universities would work together in a wide range of areas in the future for the benefit of Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area.

Director Li Ming of the UNESCO Higher Education Research Center introduced the digital education ties of the center and the International Network Education Institute.

Secretary Liu Jin and President Sun Yong spoke highly of SUSTech’s achievements. They expressed their appreciation for the work done to promote the importance of higher education through “Belt and Road” countries. They also emphasized the efforts of the Higher Education Research Center in improving the quality of higher education.

President Sun Yong and Director Li Ming signed a memorandum of understanding on behalf of SZIIT and the Higher Education Research Center pledging to cooperate together in the future.
