From May 18 to May 21, 2016, the 7th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility & Signal Integrity and Technical Exhibition (APEMC) organized by Zhejiang University was held in Shenzhen Conference & Exhibition Center (SZCEC). SUSTech is one of the co-organizers. President Chen Shiyi attended the conference and delivered the opening speech.

At the opening ceremony, President Chen introduced the status quo of SUSTech to the representatives present at the conference. He remarked: “Shenzhen is renowned as the ‘world factory’  in terms of its status as a strong manufacturing base, and it is gathering momentum to become the ‘think tank’ of the global scientific and technological industry. SUSTech is a state-owned innovation-oriented university that pooled the resources of all sectors of Shenzhen city. Its goal is to foster itself into a top notch research-oriented university of international caliber and an important base for major scientific and technological research and world-class innovation talents cultivation.” He sincerely invited the experts present at the conference to visit SUSTech and conduct academic and scientific research exchange activities.

Over 1,000 representatives from major enterprises and research institutions in the world attended the conference. Experts made splendid speeches on the application of electromagnetic compatibility measurement instruments, anechoic chambers, screen rooms, electromagnetic shielding materials, devices, signal simulation and analysis instruments, interference filter, etc. The conference served as a wonderful chance for face-to-face exchanges between exhibitors and clients on the fields of interest of both.  

As one of the three largest-scale electromagnetic compatibility conferences in the world, the APEMC has been held for six times in the Asia-Pacific region since its debut in Singapore in 2006.
