Center for CSE offers free deep learning course
Chris Edwards | 08/01/2019

Last week, Center for Computational Science and Engineering (Center) of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) held an in-depth training course, hosted by Nvidia. More than 100 students and faculty members attended the free course.

The course sought to teach the attendees how to apply a range of technologies to deploy neural network models, using practical and interesting experiments. The neural network models were used for image classification and target detection.

The attending students & faculty members could see how the neural networks improved in accuracy and performance through modifying the parameters to complete practical projects.

All the participants developed a solid foundation for deep learning as a result of this course, and hoped that there will be more courses of a similar vein in the future.
