On the evening of September 17, the 2016 SUSTech Postgraduate Student Welcoming Party was held in the Faculty Activity Center. The party, with the theme of “SUSTech Family”, aims at welcoming the 2016 postgraduate students to be new members of the SUSTech family. At the party, the students were joined by Tang Tao, the Vice President and Dean of the Graduate School, Vice President Wang Duoxiang, heads from other schools, as well as postgraduate supervisors.

On behalf of the Graduate School, Tang Tao delivered an address, congratulating the 2016 postgraduate students on opening a new chapter in their lives and welcoming them to join in SUSTech. He wished the students a relaxing and enjoyable evening.

Heads from other departments and postgraduate tutors also sent their blessings to the students

Wang Duoxiang made the concluding statement. He pointed out that SUSTech should develop innovative talents who value ideals but not empty talks, reality but not fame or wealth, and principles but not radicalism.

The party went on in a warmly and harmonious atmosphere. It helped the students strengthen communication with their tutors and promote friendship with their classmates. On the signature board were blessings from all parties. With these blessings and their hopes and expectations, the fresh students of the Graduate School are embracing a new semester.
