On the afternoon of January 12, Gongqing LIANG, former Vice Governor of the Yunnan Provincial Government and former Chairman of the Yunnan Private Education Association, visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) with a group of officials from the  Yunnan Provincial Association for Non-Government Educat ion and some private universities in Yunnan province. Yurong GUO, SUSTech University Council Chairperson, and Yusheng ZHAO, Acting Vice President of SUSTech, welcomed the guests.

The two parties discussed the university-industry cooperation, the construction of disciplines, and teaching management.

Yusheng ZHAO introduced the cooperation model of industry, university, and research in SUSTech. He expressed the hope that the two sides would continue to deepen cooperation, expand areas of collaboration, and provide knowledge, technology, and talent support for regional economic and social development.

Former Vice Governor LIANG conveyed the hope that the exchange could promote cooperation between both sides and inject new energy into the development of Yunnan’s flower industry, with SUSTech’s talents, technology, and other resources as supports. The goal is to learn from the experience of SUSTech and explore ways to promote the development of universities and colleges in Yunnan Province. Mr. LIANG and his delegation also visited the Exhibition of SUSTech Development and Achievement and the faculty laboratory.
