On September 16, Times Higher Education (THE) released its Physical Sciences and Life Sciences rankings in THE World University Rankings 2022 by subject. Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) ranked between 126-150^th in Physical Sciences globally and 8^th in mainland China. Additionally, Life Sciences ranked 126-150^th globally and 7^th in mainland China.

Ranking in Physical Sciences

Compared to last year, the world ranking of Physical Sciences increased from 201-250^th to 126-150^th, making significant progress. Among the different metrics used to measure the subject ranking for Physical Sciences, it ranked 2^nd in mainland China for International Outlook and Citations. Life Sciences improved its ranking from 176-200^th to 126-150^th globally. Among its metrics, it ranked 1^st for Citations and 2^nd for International Outlook.
