On June 13, 2022, Litao ZHAO, Deputy Mayor of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, and his delegation visited the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Fengliang LI, University Council Chairperson, welcomed the guests as they held discussions and exchanges on a variety of topics.

In his remarks, Chairperson Fengliang LI noted that Shenzhen and Guangdong Province have a long history of cooperation with Heilongjiang Province.

He noted that they would strengthen collaboration in areas such as industrial information technology, biotechnology, environmental protection, university-industry research, healthcare, and talent training to promote the high-quality development of Yichun.

Litao ZHAO acknowledged the innovative achievements and rapid development of SUSTech, and gave a brief introduction to the current state of affairs in Yichun.

Through deeper collaborations with SUSTech in the future, he said that the city would take advantage of the University’s talents and expertise in various fields to help build Yichun into a thriving tourist and eco-city.

During their visit, Litao ZHAO and his delegation were also given a guided tour of the SUSTech exhibition of development and achievements, the Cryo-Electron Microscopy Center, and the Department of Biology.
