On March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) organized a themed event that attracted a large turnout of female faculty members and staff.

The event, held at the University’s Future Square (Beside the Big Banyan), was attended by Hong JIANG, University Council Chairperson, and Ling ZHANG, University Council Vice-Chairperson and Chairman of the Trade Union, who joined in the festivities alongside the female attendees.

Various activity booths were set up at the venue, including an empowerment station, a hairstyle studio, a beauty studio, and retro photography. A pop-up energy party also featured goddess-themed experiences, allowing female faculty members and staff to explore different hairstyles and makeup trends.

As part of the event, the Trade Union Office arranged a lecture on female physical health and exercise methods, presented by Lunhong DONG, Director of the Sports Center at SUSTech. He elaborated on health assessment indicators and standards for women, emphasizing the significance of regular exercise and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

In addition to sending heartfelt holiday greetings, the pleasant and festive environment of this event fostered closer bonds between SUSTechers.
