The Ministry of Education organized a video conference to assist universities in preparing its 2019 graduates to find employment and start enterprises.
Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) was one of the video conference sites, with SUSTech Council Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang attending the meeting on behalf of the University.
Vice Minister of Education Lin Huiqing pointed out at the meeting that 8.34 million students are thought to graduate in 2019. China’s overall economic situation is mostly stable, and the environment for innovation and entrepreneurship remains optimal.
All local colleges and universities need to provide more support for the students’ career development.
The Guangdong Provincial Department of Education followed up with a local video conference. They encouraged further implementation of the central government, emphasizing the need to adhere to multiple measures and encouraged maximizing the employment and entrepreneurship of 2019 college graduates.
Leaders from the Offices of Teaching Affairs, Student Affairs, Research as well as the Graduate School, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship attended the meeting.
